The Morton family first descended on Norfolk back in 1941, when “Papa” Morton came down from Scotland to establish a dairy herd. In 1998 the company began specialising in the production of free range and organic poultry.
We now rear between 800-1500 free range Christmas turkeys, all sold direct to the consumer at the farm gate, online, or by mail order.
Rob Morton (a third generation Morton) with the help of his wife Becca and a little helping hand from their three young children George, Sam and Emily, have been rearing traditional farm fresh Christmas turkeys for the past 15 years.
Our range of poultry includes, Free range Norfolk Bronze turkeys, Traditional Free Range Norfolk Black turkeys, Free range Norfolk Geese and Chickens.
Our aim is not to be the biggest supplier of turkeys, but to offer our customers a true free range turkey that is produced in the time honoured tradition.
We start the festive process in February when we order our slow growing strains of turkeys. Our day old turkey chicks arrive at the farm in early June, which gives us plenty of time to rear each bird slowly without forcing them like intensive birds.
